Summary
The Inquisition agents find and capture the infamous apostate Anders and bring him in to be judged by the Inquisitor. She surprises everyone, Anders the most, by making him work for the Inquisition to redeem himself. It's definitely not the justice he was looking for, but maybe he can find some forgiveness in the Inquisition's ranks. Will he be able to reach inner peace living with Justice and balancing relationships?

Summary

*Currently on writing hiatus. As of 12/24/2024, 4k out of 100k words written. Sooo...this isn't the Christmas present/update I wanted to give you. Due to family life, unexpected happenstance and the general exhaustion of politics in 2024, I didn't write nearly as much as I usually do. Not even my own stuff. I do apologize for that.
With that, I still plan to finish this thing. I still plan to write the 100k words and I believe there's no reason I can't finish that in 2025. It will just be much later in 2025 than I was hoping. Again, my apologies. Have a good holiday if you can, everyone. See you for a later update. Hopefully with a much higher word count.

Summary
Arthur knows he's dying, can feel the unstoppable pull of it, feels the spirit appear behind him to take him along. And yet, he finds he does not want to die. There is so much that went wrong, so much he regrets and he wishes, with all his being, he could change it. Could at least ensure those that managed to get away really make it out alive.
A second chance, he asks, begs, really. Just give me the chance to save them.
The being behind him pauses and Arthur can't look away from the moment he's frozen in, staring at the dark mountainside, aching to see the sun rise just one more time.
One chance, the spirit seems to whisper, voice satin soft. Make the most of it.
