Summary
The Canvas was destroyed when Verso's soul stopped painting. The end of a long reign of suffering was over.
And then it came back.
Gustave died. He knows that much. He was dead. But now he's back on the ship on the day after the Gommage of everyone who was 33 years old, and now he's back on his way to the continent to repeat the cycle of destruction. But he isn't alone. It quickly becomes apparent that Lune, Sciel, and Maelle are back, too. And they have a plan to save as many lives as possible. And to defeat the painters. Plural. Because that is a thing, apparently.
To Gustave's worry, this plan revolves around Maelle and a man named Verso. A man who will save Maelle on the beach just as he did last time.
But something about this whole things is strange, and this group of survivors they have gathered slowly begin to uncover conspiracies that extend far beyond the problems of their canvas.
Because for Maelle, it's been four years since the canvas was destroyed, and she swears on her brother's grave she wasn't the one to repaint it.

Summary
No one paid much attention when a young man from the Undercity was expelled from Piltover Academy after having been found to have forged his enrollment.
Significantly more notice is paid five years later, however, when one Jayce Talis is expelled after his trial by the Piltover Council. In this world, there is no keen-eyed assistant to the Dean to read through his notebook and to talk him off the ledge—but something draws him towards Zaun, where he gets his ass kicked and is rescued by an unusual man. Against all odds, Jayce manages to find Viktor anyways.

He laughs hysterically. “Sorry, I’m still processing the fact that you’re offering to…what, make me come? So I stop bothering you?”
Viktor shrugs. “You are an attractive man, I assure you it would be no hardship.”
Viktor offers to help Jayce take care of a restless itch, if only so Viktor can concentrate on his work again.

Summary
Viktor’s hand moved around Jayce’s waist, a comforing gesture that to anyone else would be viewed of normal for the pair, but what they failed to notice was the way Viktor’s hand disappeared beneath Jayce’s shirt and rested against his stomach. The action left butterflies fluttering in his gut, as he looked to the male who seemed focused on what the woman was blabbering about.
He couldn’t think straight.
His stomach hurt from clenching, a physical reaction to the loving touch. And matters were only made worse when Viktor’s fingers carefully began to move, rubbing the soft skin with nothing but delicacy to his movements.
OR, Jayce likes Viktor’s hand on his stomach a little too much, and starts to imagine him getting him pregnant.

Witchcraft.
That, officially, was the sentence that hung around Jayce’s neck. Not for pushing the bounds of science too far. Not for challenging the leader of their town. For the practice of the Arcane from someone who had not been born with it.
Jayce gets himself into a pickle. Thankfully, Viktor and Mel think he’s too cute to be sacrificed.
