Jim gave a scoff of laughter before pulling his hand out of Bones’ grasp and clumsily dragging it across his face, misaligning the oxygen mask. He blinked clumsily up at Bones before giving a lopsided smirk. “Talk like that takes my breath away.”
Or: Jim is reckless, everywhere: in missions, in the captain's chair, and now in Bones' medbay. Injuries are slow to heal when you won't stay still - Bones' turbulent bedside manner helps.
