“I’m really glad you came,” Takumi interjected. Eito bit the inside of his cheek. “Everyone is, they think you’re really nice, but...I don’t know. I just really wanted you here, I guess.” God. What the hell was he talking about? Why was he acting so shy, so innocent? “Sorry. Is that weird?”
It was all weird. Eito never understood why the phrase butterflies in my stomach was used to mean something positive. It felt like he had butterflies in his stomach, sure, but he wasn't pleased. He wanted to throw up. “No,” he said quietly, panicking and matching Takumi’s coy cadence. “It’s not weird at all.”
“...Can I kiss you?”
Eito said nothing. As always, he was left to the mercy of human emotions, which were decidedly selfish and never merciful.

Summary
Takumi never quite seems to be able to see eye to eye with Eito, even though they work together every day. He's so grateful for the help he just wishes he could pay his adjutant back somehow. One day, he gets it into his head that maybe he'd be able to actually cure that awful curse Eito's afflicted with using the Dolmenic Cognitive Reconstruction Therapy machine back at the first academy! His excited offer does NOT go over well and he doesn't quite understand why... but now he needs to patch things up between them. The only question is how?
