“And I am… Iron Man…” Tony snapped his fingers and beings turned to dust.
He vaguely heard Peter and Pepper speak to him before everything went black.“Sir? Please wake up.” In his dreams, JARVIS was always there, watching over him.
Tony reluctantly opened his eyes and immediately screwed them closed. “Oh, fuck me…” This wasn’t a dream, it was a nightmare, he was in his room in his father's New York mansion.

Summary
When the Rogues are back in the States after being pardoned, the New Avengers want nothing to do with them and as far as Tony is concerned, if he never speaks to them again, it'll be too soon. After all, he didn't spend the last year putting himself (and his family) back together only for his former co-workers to ruin all of his hard work.
But then he gets a hand-written letter from the Winter Soldier himself, apologizing for the events that transpired and an off-handed comment from Rhodey about Rogers failing to take care of an obviously miserable Bucky Barnes sets in motion Tony's new, oh-so-evil plan to get some payback.
After all, what better revenge than to steal the Winter Soldier away from his best friend?
The only problem: Tony sucks at being vengeful, but apparently he's an expert at inadvertently falling in love.

Summary
Finding out about his parents' murder at the hand of the Winter Soldier, Captain America's old war buddy, pushes Tony Stark into a very dark place and he turns to the former HYDRA assassin with a burning fury, part of him screaming for revenge.
Finding out that Steve knew and didn't tell him pushes him over the edge and he lashes out against the super soldier, but just as Steve is about to retaliate the Winter Soldier takes Tony by surprise, by knocking Steve out and surrendering.The Asset knows that to be free HYDRA must be crushed, and for that to happen his best chance is the resources of Tony Stark, when Captain America shows up in Bucharest the fragmented memories of who he once was tells him that the Captain will protect him and bring him to the Avengers so the Asset goes with him, but when the Captain is about to attack Iron Man with deadly intent he makes a choice and goes against the voices within.
The Asset neutralizes the Captain and surrenders to Iron Man, hoping that he will be able to convince the man to use HYDRA's own weapon to take them down.- Language:

Summary
Tony Stark knew who his soulmates were since he was 4, the Red Silver and Blue Shield cruelly marked on him. It was one of the few things that Howard Stark couldn’t touch or change, so Howard made his marks in other ways.
It wasn’t like Steve or Bucky would ever know, they were dead.
Tony had been dealt the worst hand fate could think up, someone somewhere obviously hated him. He had two soulmates who’d been dead for 25 years before his birth. A father who was in the running for worst parent of the century. The names of two men he couldn't help but love, but Howard made sure he was reminded at every turn that he was worthless, Captain Rogers and Sergeant Barnes would've never spared him a 2nd glance.
By the time he was 12 Tony was glad Steve and Bucky were dead, they were better off having never known him, he'd have only disappointed them.
He'd given up the fantasy of having a true or real romantic relationship long ago, hidden behind the mask he played into the media, they were going to say what they wanted about him, he'd learned to not care.
Until Captain Rogers showed up, he didn't care; he couldn't. So why did it hurt so much "Big man in a suit of armor. Take that off what are you?"

Summary
As he lays trapped in his dead suit in the cold Siberian Bunker, Tony is forced to be alone with his thoughts. He thinks about all he has been through and comes to the realization that the Avengers never saw him as a friend the same way he did.
The first time Loki’s life had truly gone to shit was when the Jotun warrior had grabbed him, setting off a cascade of events that proved what he had always feared to be true.
The aftermath of Siberia if Loki had intervened and Tony had learned that living well was the best type of revenge.
Very mental health heavy and angsty.Series
