From prompt: what if Asura wasn't just bringing people back because "morals", but because he KNEW Indra needed to be needed/needed a connection to keep sane. So, Asura just keeps bringing back people to Indra to like, give him that connection, but Indra keeps making them self sufficient and sending them off. And Asura is like all, "What the fuck, Anija, just keep some of them" and "Here's some new and interesting people, maybe one, or a few, of them will work." And the useless twatwaffle (i.e. the Sage) is all like "Good, Asura is saving people and all, but Indra is not." And Indra is like "Stop bringing new people back, your stressing me out." And Asura is all "Anija, why are you sending all of them away, you need them, I love you and I want you to be sane."
