“Little Wing?” Dick’s tone lost the harshness to it, as if sensing that Jason was teetering on the edge. He could always tell when Jason needed the grounding. He always knew. Could feel it from a mile away.

Summary
If you were to ask Jeongin how he had been doing, he would have told you without faltering that he was good. Great, even.
Truth be told, Jeongin had been tethering on the edge of a cliff leading to his dismay for the past few months. A kind of simmering feeling that always left him anxious by the end of the evening, as if his mind had worked so much during the day that it became overwhelmed and desperate for some kind of relief as soon as the night came and his bed welcomed him. Despite that, everything was fine.
Jeongin knew better than to let his feelings get the best of him, knew better than to close himself off and cross his fingers wishing for that bad feeling to go away.
The maknae was comforted by the thought of being good, of doing good. It didn’t quite reach happiness but it was better than the feeling of despair he’d feel whenever he didn’t deem his effort good enough. His mindset was simple: Always do your best.His best was subjective, though.
