Summary
Gerard Keay, clad in a heavy leather jacket and fingerless gloves, marches his way out of his and his mother’s “house”, Pinhole Books. Another day of Leitner hunting as per his mother’s request.
Except… something is different when he walks through the threshold. Sure, he wasn’t 100% certain it was sunny earlier when he looked out the window, but that wasn’t the only thing setting his alarms off. Something, clearly, very wrong. It all clicks when a familiar someone leaves from the same door he had thought to have come out of moments before; wearing a face he’s only seen in the few photos he could save from Mary’s hand.
Gerard Keay is fooled into the past with the door of the Distortion. How will he react to meeting his father for practically the first time, considering he was five the last time they’d spoken. Now, after 17 years of being at Mary’s beck and call, he’s trapped in the past without anyone other than his pre-father father to look towards.
