Summary
A distant buzzing sound filled Alhaitham's ears, his head ached, and his back felt broken. He fought to open his eyes, and found he was still in the inner chamber.
'How long have I been out?'
He moved to stand, but fell back down. A strange sensation overwhelmed him. His body felt… different. Even his vision in the dim room seemed odd, and he blinked hard, looking down at himself.
Somehow, he was transformed.

After another fight with Kaveh, Alhaitham retreats into the desert to transcribe some ancient texts in the ruins. There he finds disaster beneath his feet, a new body, and (as always happens when it comes to Kaveh) a severe challenge to his own perceptions of the truth.

Alhaitham devises a mastermind plan to bring Kaveh on a date.
“I hope they know they’re about to have the worst night of their lives. Who’s the lucky one?”
Alhaitham has stalled long enough. It’s time to lay down his cards on the table. “You. I’ll go with you.”
“Huh?” Kaveh blurts, his cheeks turning a nice pink. Although a bit late, he seems to realise he speaks too loud for a library. “Nonsense. I’ve never agreed to such a thing, have I?”

Summary
If he wasn’t the very person housing him despite his absolute failure to pay back rent on time and various other domestic disputes, or if he wasn’t the man who occasionally indulged in joining him in an excursion to the Grand Bazaar and patiently listened to his rambles about the beauty of the wares, or if he wasn’t… well, if he wasn’t Al Haitham, once his best friend and sounding board (perhaps even the closest thing to home in a foreign world), maybe Kaveh would’ve been able to hate Al Haitham.
But as Kaveh looked up at the mirror, he could feel and see the light dusting of red on his cheeks that wasn’t a result of the heat from his eyes. There was an upward twist of his lips that should’ve not been there.
Of course, life has other ideas in store for all victims of the infamous isekai.

Summary
Alhaitham knew from the moment he woke.
The very action of opening his eyes felt like his eyelids were being pried apart, and what sight he could get between them was blurred. He was all too aware that there was too much in his head, weighing it down so that the mere act of rising was a fight against a stronger gravitational pull. The weight spread throughout his body to his chest, sinking in his stomach, his limbs, every movement feeling sluggish. Even the action of sitting up felt like it consumed more energy than it reasonably should have.

Alhaitham wakes up sick, but his role as the Acting Grand Sage means that he has to push through the day until he can return home and recuperate.

Kaveh’s hat is lost, probably lying somewhere on the ground in the abandoned aisle of the House of Daena where they find themselves now. Kaveh’s thoughts come in fragile, sugar-spun pieces– the argument, the suggestion, the book waiting somewhere on these dusty, untouched shelves that would prove Kaveh the victor of this round. Not that he can remember the name of the book, of course. Or, for that matter, what his argument had even been about. Not when Alhaitham has him pressed to the shelves, each of Kaveh’s wrists held in a calloused hand as Alhaitham kisses him.

"Kaveh said that as long as it's nonconsumable," Alhaitham repeated, staring into the man in front of him. "He would use it?"
Tighnari held his chin, thinking back to what Kaveh said he wanted for his birthday.
"Yeah," Tighnari confirmed. "He said that as long as you get him something he could use, he would use it."
In which Alhaitham gets Kaveh a more-than-suggestive bunny suit (+ toys), hoping his roommate would keep his promise.
