Lila blinks her eyes open at the sound of Five’s powers activating. He jumps out of the Commission’s vault and lands in front of her, hands and sleeves dotted with blood.
“Well, that was terrible,” he says. He flips the blade of his little silver knife back into the handle and stuffs his hands into the pockets of his pants, looking tense.
The deja vu makes Lila's head reel. Her chest aches as Time snaps back on her yet again. "Oh, fuck."

Getting back home after learning about the Kugelblitz ends up a bit trickier than Lila expected, especially once she gets trapped in a time loop.
