   "Oh my god," Robin says softly. "You're in love with him, aren't you?"

   Steve blinks, processing the words. He rolls it around in his head a few times: love, love, love. Is Steve in love with Eddie?

   He thinks of Eddie’s easygoing grin, his laugh. The way he puts his arm around Steve’s shoulders when they’re laughing together, the way he scratches Steve’s neck when his head hurts or whispers a reminder in his ear if he’s forgotten his train of thought. He thinks of Eddie’s stupid hilarious jokes and his wild hair and the way he calls Steve sweetheart.

   Yes, Steve thinks miserably. Yes.

   (Or: Steve's concussions catch up with him. Eddie's there; and then he keeps coming back.)
