As worship for the gods begin to fade the gods themselves tend to fade with it. Joseph fears the very same may happen to him, reminiscing at an old temple that was once lively with devotees.

Summary
Raphael is fully aware of what happens when a devil is struck down on the material plane. But when a devil is struck down in their own plane they apparently end up in a dark alleyway in Baldur’s Gate, bloodied and bruised.
OR
Six months after the brain, six months and six days after Tav killed him, Raphael wakes up in Baldur’s Gate. But, he wakes up in his human form without his infernal powers. He seeks up his little mouse for revenge but nothing goes according to plan.

Summary
Rapidly running out of options, Tav signing Raphael’s contract was the only way to free herself from the tadpole and defeat the Elder Brain and save her love from his eventual ruin. She should have paid closer attention to the wording of the contract before she signed it. Now, Tav gets more than she bargained for, and the devil has come to collect.
