" Shikamaru Nara était un stratège – il se plaisait à toujours s'assurer d'avoir au minimum vingt coups d'avance. C'était bien plus pratique ainsi – pas de mauvaise surprise, pas de débordement de situation : tout était sous contrôle.
Alors pour sa relation amoureuse aussi, il avait pensé à tout. Ne pas prendre de mission le menant directement à Suna - trop évident. Ne pas être systématiquement à Konoha lors de ses visites - pour brouiller un peu les pistes. Ne pas l'amener dîner dans trop d'établissements différents – ce qui reviendrait à multiplier leurs chances d'être découverts. Ne jamais rester jusqu'au petit matin - heure à laquelle il était censé la retrouver. Prétexter deux fois par semaine (pas plus car ce serait suspect et pas moins car ça tomberait dans l'oreille d'un sourd) lorsqu'il lui servait de guide à quel point il était chiant de devoir se lever à l'aube car Madame-raffolait-des-entraînements-matinaux.
En cas de question suspecte, tout nier platement. En cas d'interrogation muette, justifier à moitié, l'air de rien.
Et en cas de couverture grillée – ne surtout pas paniquer."

Agnese tensed, she was unfortunately all too familiar with those office gossips. A little over five years ago now, Passione had gone from having no official face, to Giorno Giovanna's gracing every streets' corners. Rumors had it that the young, brilliant, man had brutally murdered the Original Don in the span of a week. Others thought that Giovanna was his son and that the boss had simply granted himself a well-deserved retirement.
She couldn't care less about what had truly happened: Don Giovanna gave her a monthly salary as well as direct, concrete instructions. And those were the two things that mattered to her. He was good at that, giving clear orders to the people to his service, and it was nicer to serve him than to obey blindly the weird requests she'd receive by mail like before.
"Don't you really have anywhere else to go?", the cleaning lady suddenly turned to the man she had heard approaching.

And it sure took a very long time (and a lot of the French pastries she had brought) for Trish to stop cackling like a maniac.

The robber mentally made a countdown, his last cohesive thought going to the pizza from lunch he hadn't taken the time to properly savor, and he finally stormed out of the restroom, gun ready. He fired a shot at the light fixture of the hall: a bulb exploded, and with that came the first scream of realization in the bank. Not everyone had yet to understand what was happening: the silencer, necessary for the swift execution of the plan, was taming down the situation a bit too much to his own taste.
