Summary
Motoya was a liar.
He was nothing better than a wounded animal backed in a corner- he not only lied to protect himself, but to protect the ones around him.
Motoya's sense of belonging was sparse, his ability to trust was even dimmer. After running from a grueling past of a family that cast him the black sheep, as well as a disloyal relationship, he began to run out of viable reasons to live a truthful life.
The last thing he expected was to stumble into a pre-established relationship, befriending a couple tied to the only person he seemed to trust in the world- his cousin. When friends begin to leak and blur into something more, he found that he could no longer lie to protect himself.He needed to do something that he swore to never do again- open up.

Shirabu cleared his throat, "Okay Hoshiumi-san. So, assessing the situation. Are they breathing?"
Hoshiumi looked at his team, "Yeah. They look like they're breat-"
"I mean the dummy, Hoshiumi-san. The dummy."
Hoshiumi looked the dummy up and down carefully. He began slapping its body and put an ear to its chest. Shirabu wanted to slap him in the head. After a few seconds of observing, Hoshiumi shook his head.
"No, Shirabu. They are not breathing. And-" He stared at it once more, "-They have no arms or legs."
"Oh my god." Kuroo groaned quietly.
"N-No, that's not part of it," Shirabu murmured.
"Where are they?" Hoshiumi wondered aloud.
Atsumu piped in from the crowd of players, "Ya' know, if we come across someone with no arms or legs, do we bother resuscitating them?"
Aran nodded, "He's got a point."
Suna hummed, "I mean, what kind of quality of life do we have there?"
"I would want to live with no legs." Hakuba butted in, stroking his chin.
"How 'bout no arms?" Sakusa snapped, "No arms or legs is basically how you exist now, Hakuba. You don't do anything."
