Summary
Zanka does not like Rudo. He swears he doesn’t. (no matter what Enjin says).
Zanka and Enjin get shoved into a family dynamic when something seems off wth Rudo.
Zanka is tired. Enjin is a shit disturber and Rudo just wants to go home.tldr - I really wanted to wright a story where these two got to comfort Rudo about something. so I picked one of my many options for Rudo angst and wrote it.

Rudo has gotten better with physical touch. He leans into Enjin's side when the cleaner throws an arm over his shoulder. He doesn't short circuit if Riyo starts playing with his hair anymore. Hell, today he let Remlin use him as a ladder to paint a section of the wall that was too high up for her.
But as much as Rudo obviously craves touch (if you can get past the hissing cat that is his personality) he never initiates it. So as Zanka is about to rightfully freak out, (because why him?) Rudo raises his head back up only to headbutt Zanka's arm again.

and tugging to show how much he doesn’t appreciate this change.Finally something Zanka’s familiar with. After long missions or after Rudo has used up too much energy, he usually straight up turns into an untamed Cat.
Zanka swears to god he saw him hiss and swipe at Gris the other day after Gris tried to wake him up from the couch for dinner.

Rudo is finally hit by the grief of Regto's passing after the constant struggle he's faced ever since falling to the ground. At least he has people that will catch him this time.

“I jus- I… Regto…” It escapes his throat weakly, as if just his name could explain all the horrible, complicated feelings tangled up in his chest. It can’t.
“I’m never going to play a game with him again.”
The finality of it is felt throughout the room. Rudo will never do anything with Regto again.

Summary
Rudo wakes up and knows today will be bad. He doesn't know how, but it becomes apparent to him as he tries to sit up and get out of bed. At the smallest movement of his body pain ricochets up his arm from his fingers.
Rudo's hands hurt. Enjin helps.

Summary
No one ever talks about the anger that pain brings.
For Rudo anger is as natural as breathing, but ever since coming to the surface he's had to control himself. Only for the pain in his hands to break the composure he's forced onto himself, bringing the grief and rage of his recent loss bubbling back onto the surface.
A wild attempt at escaping from his emotions lands him in the curious company of none other than Enjin, where it all comes flooding out.
