    Jaemin’s eyes soften for a beat, but then his gaze hardens again.

    “I wasn’t enough for you to want to continue being my friend, so did it really matter in the end?” Jaemin folds his arms across his chest defensively, as if he’s protecting himself from whatever Jeno has to say next – like he’s expecting Jeno to retort with something scathing that will hurt him even more.
