Summary
A rustle of curtains at the window caught her attention. Her heart skipped a beat, her skin prickled with gooseflesh, and her face bloomed with warm blush.
Jest was here.
Cath turned around to see him, a dark silhouette against the sunset’s golden light pouring into her kitchen. The light bounced off his ruffled black hair, and his lemon-yellow eyes sparkled with joy. In two steps, he closed the distance between them and wrapped his arms around her waist. Cath let her own arms encircle his neck, her fingers brushing his hair. Jest glanced around to make sure they were alone and placed a quick kiss on the tip of her nose.
Cath's bakery is the busiest place during the Sweetheart's Day celebration, but even among the hustle, she manages to make a special treat for her sweetheart.

Betty finds him at his locker on Friday morning, and tries to act casual about it. “I was thinking, maybe we should go to Pop’s first?” She leans against the locker beside his, tilting her head up at him the way Veronica does when she wants to convince Archie to do something.
Jughead looks surprised, like the idea of eating dinner before a movie has never occurred to him before. “Me and…no, yeah. Sure. That seems fine.”
It’s not a particularly enthusiastic yes, but she’ll take it.
(Betty and Jughead definitely do not go on a date for his 17th birthday.)
