Their friendship was so short that it had barely existed, like a budding flower killed by an early spring frost. But Hajime had treasured it while it lasted. Komaeda had been the one to kill it. But by playing Monokuma’s game, Hajime feels like he’ll be driving the final nail into the coffin."
A twisted addendum to the killing game forces Hinata into deeper intimacy with Komaeda than he ever knew he wanted.

'I didn’t bring you here so you could be my shield!' His shaking hands grip around Komaeda’s leg, as tightly as he dares without hurting him further. 'I brought you because I...'

A Future Foundation mission gone wrong leads Hinata and Komaeda to come to a deeper understanding of what they want from each other.

Nagito must’ve imagined those plaintive words, or the added weight of a second hand on his own. Because the frown is still there, and the saddened eyes, and there’s still no smile, never a smile.
He must’ve imagined them. So he doesn’t answer. Hinata won’t smile, so he will smile enough for the both of them for now.
He wishes the blurriness in his eyes would go away."
A dementia symptom flareup over Christmas leads to some relationship introspection for Komaeda and Hinata. Written for Komahina Christmas Week on tumblr.

Suddenly, Hinata was looking right at him. “There it is again—” Hinata’s voice cracked as he raked a very tired looking hand through his hair. “What in the world is this hope you keep talking about? What are you planning to make us do?”
Nagito narrowed his eyes.
Hinata’s shoulders were stiff. His jaw was tense.
He wasn’t running, though.

Summary
Hajime sighed as he entered Nagito’s cottage. His act of not wanting to be there was futile. Watching from his bed, Nagito stifled a laugh as Hajime put on his typical performance of apathy. Nagito was no stranger to feeling like he was a burden to those around him, but this was the one thing he was sure Hajime took indulgence in. If the way his body shook so violently when Nagito wrapped his lips around his length, or how he wasn’t able to hold back his desperate gasps as he teased his chest with his long, pale fingers didn’t tell him enough, Hajime continuing to come see him almost every night did. Nagito snickered to himself.
“What’s so funny?” Hajime asked, voice snappy and sharp.
“Oh, nothing, just glad you’re here. I feel honored whenever someone like you spends time with someone so unworthy like me.”
Hajime scoffed. “God, Nagito, will you cut it out with that whole thing?” Nagito wasn’t sure what he meant by this “thing”. He was only speaking the truth; he did feel honored.
“I apologize, Hajime.” He didn’t feel like fighting Hajime and trying to justify his point of view, not when he had other plans for the two of them that night.

Hajime swallowed tersely. The man across from him was smiling as usual, but his words seemed to carry more significance. He’d grown used to receiving Komaeda-related scares over their first year together, but it’d been a long time since the last.
“…It depends on what exactly you want,” he said after a moment, “but either way, it sounds important to you, so go ahead.”
Nagito smiled, gaze drifting further and further with every word.
“The day you no longer understand me, please kill me.”
