Summary
Gustave could give less of a fuck what Verso Dessendre has been up to now that Lumiere has been restored and Maelle is dutifully taking breaks out of the canvas as per the agreement she struck with her family.
But when Gustave finds Verso, broken and dying in an alleyway he finds himself worrying about the man he hates. And finding himself desperate to learn more about him.
He finds himself immersed in a greater problem than he ever realized, when he finds that the happily ever after Maelle gave Verso with a prior love of his, Julie, might not have been as happy as Maelle had meant it to be. And the Search and Rescue team have big plans for revenge.As he and Expedition 33 try and keep Julie and crew from threatening their canvas as a whole, Gustave can’t help but start falling for Verso. And realizing that the fight for Verso’s happy ending is more personal to him than he could have ever imagined.
But he’s willing to fight for it. To fight for them.

Summary
Alan remembers looking a man in the eye and seeing his own death approach. He doesn't remember dying, but he sure as hell remembers being dragged back into the land of the living. The world is a much more complicated place.
Post Pianissimo, Expedition 33 try to put the world back together. Alan doesn't know what to do with himself when he's handed a future, especially when the man that had prematurely ended his life the first time keeps hanging around.
