“I want you to die,” the Stellaron girl says.
Or: the ex-convict known as Dan Heng and the criminal known as Stelle collide with one another before the events of the main story... and keep meeting each other again and again and again.

She blinked several times.
Then, very slowly, raised an eyebrow.
“…Dan Heng?”
The boy frowned in his sleep.
“Mmmnh… what…?” The voice, though childish, carried an unmistakable familiarity. He slowly pushed himself up, blinking against the light with large, expressive eyes of aquamarine tinged with blue, giving him a tender, innocent air. “Stelle?”Stelle’s powers accidentally transform Dan Heng into his childhood self, and while they search for a way to reverse it, Stelle won’t miss the chance to pamper a tiny Dan Heng.

Guinaifen, seated at the position of honor in front of their official ghost-hunting-channel laptop, shrugs. "Is it? I dunno. You recognize him?"
Stelle nods, still scrutinizing the photo attached to the investigation request. It's Dan Heng, no doubt, only he's holding a comically large bouquet with tiny golden flowers spilling over the sides.
(or; Dan Heng gets possessed by a heliobus. Stelle swears she can be normal about it.)

Stelle doesn’t want to burden anyone, especially not Dan Heng—but secrets rot in silence. As the line between reality and hallucination blurs, the Stellaron forces her toward a breaking point that threatens not only her, but the entire Crew.
And when even the best efforts fail, Dan Heng is left with one truth: he would burn himself to ashes before letting her face this alone.

He looked happier, she thinks. With the animals around him, and the trees seemingly singing, happily rejoicing upon his appearance.
His eyes were soft. It was the kind of gaze that made Stelle almost melt it into a puddle, which was strange, because he was looking at a squirrel, and not her.
His laugh was much more sweeter now. A bird made its way onto his shoulder and nuzzled into his neck, and, all of the sudden, before Stelle could stop herself— she murmured, so quietly, yet loud enough that only Dan Heng could hear it, and not the animals around them.
“You’re beautiful.”
That singular sentence made Dan Heng freeze in his tracks.
Stelle is awestruck at Dan Hengs new form. Thats it. Thats the fic.
