Summary
I haven’t posted in a long while but I’m working on something huge!! It’s technically my 18th piece (pls refer to One-Shot Wonder for the explanation of my chronological writing timeline 🥺🙏) but I feel like this may genuinely be my first NON-one-shot which is REALLY EXCITING ‼️‼️
Also our school blocked ao3 so i’m barely coming on here cus I’m conserving my data haha 😅😅
BUT YES HERE IS A POEM!! I wrote this poem because I had writer’s block for my current non-one-shot (im still on ep.1 tho 😑💔🥀also it may function as more of an episodic/serial/manga thing than a book thing because I uh I said so 😤😤) so I was like “ahh shii I have to write something!!” So I wrote this poem with a huge headache‼️‼️ i’m always writing when I have fevers and headaches, could it be a cause and effect or am i tweaking 🧐🧐

Summary
The Widest Prairie is piece 14 of my writing journey so far (see One-Shot Wonder for more details 😊), and I have the idea of writing it in three separate acts, all with different genres of music as a representative voice.
This piece is very experimental and may not be everyone’s thing. However, it is by far the biggest artistic leap I have taken in terms of writing, and drafting and finalising it has been an oddly refreshing experience for me, so I hope someone will find Act I:Jazz (all I have so far sorry 😭) a fun read.
There’s not much plot, but there’s a lot of momentum. This really is nonsensical; all I can say is that for me, this is (possibly) the most novel thing I’ve written. It demands a little more patience and rewards rereading!! Thank you! 😊🙏

Summary
‘Little Dipper’ is the 13th piece in my writing journey (i explain this in One-shot Wonder), and it details the interactions of two equally eccentric people through a first-person perspective.
The psychologist delivers the narration.
The prose is much looser compared to some of my other works, so this may be a lighter, more breathable piece that can serve as a breath of fresh air after reading something like “A bone to pick with you” (my 11th piece of pie 🥧🥰).

Summary
This is Part 1 of my 12th piece (i explain my writing journey in One-shot wonder! 🥰), and it was inspired by a dream I had where I saw a really beautiful city with little blue houses. I was standing on a nice hill. (The fish were not in the dream haha I just wanted to write something BLUE 💙🐟🔵🥏🌊⚓️🐳🪸🪼⛴️🦈🐚🐋 because piece 11 was red ❤️)
I haven’t written part 2 yet, as Part 2 is only a recent idea I had upon reviewing this piece. I’m actually writing my 17th piece now (I haven’t finished any pieces lol 🥀🥀 💀 but i wanna start piece 18 😭😭), and I’ll likely post piece 13 much earlier than I’ll post 12.2 aka Part 2 of Azure Ahead where the narrator’s journey is actually documented.
ANYWAY this piece is more just pure observation than plot, the plot will be in part 2 of Azure Ahead. Three fish are described in like a story-telling way, and that is the Sailfish, the Blue Marlin, and the Swordfish!! (I LOVE THEM 😩😩) They all have very specific personalities and are entirely distinct from one another. 🧊🙏 this is a shorter piece, but it’s kinda dense at times, and the Blue Marlin section is very, very layered!! So detail freaks like me come say hi💙🌧️ and give it a try 🥺

Summary
Castor, the voice of this piece, is sixteen and he is a nobleman, but his mother (whom he shares blood with) is out of the story due to adultery, and his non-blood father is physically abusive and a monster that deserves things I’d rather not say.
Castor is very disciplined and very intelligent, and enjoys a good mix of recreational activities, ranging from writing to fencing, the latter which he can no longer do as a terrible fever has rendered him so sick that he can virtually not leave his bed. His condition kind of varies as the prose progresses, but the main idea is that he cannot do a lot of day-to-day activities without immediate/personal assistance. And who better to deal with this cold, snappy boy than the stubborn scribe who’s only been here for a relatively short while?
In this piece, Castor explores his thoughts and feelings with academic rigour (yeah he is THAT serious but i mean he’s just like that 🤥🫡respect 🤗F IN THE CHAT FOR CASTOR‼️‼️🫡) and we get to experience it all in first person. The body may be passive, but the mind is in constant motion ! This internal-but-forward idea sums up the piece very well i think. And we get to see how Castor views his abuse too,but it’s a happy/strong end❤️
