So even though he desperately wants everything Dean can give him, when Dean walks into his cabin he says the unthinkable:

Summary
It's the end of the world.
Okay, so maybe the world hasn't gone up in flames or been sent into an ice age by giant meteors, but there are Croats everywhere, so many that they rarely even leave the camp anymore. So when Dean wonders aloud why he and Cas can't have a normal relationship, Cas is pretty much fed up from the beginning.
For one thing, they don't actually have a "relationship", they have sex in the dark when Dean thinks no one will know.
For another, who falls in love during an apocalypse?
Oh, right. Cas, that's who.
