It wouldn’t exactly be unusual, should he have given into desire and reached out, that is, but sometimes he was unsure of how much was too much when it came to touching Kaveh. Their relationship, whatever the unruly thing that they’d merely coined as ‘roommates’ truly was, tended to be unsteady, and sometimes Alhaitham feared stumbling over the edge of it and into the unstable ground beyond.
