Summary
Ilya Rozanov has been drafted by Boston, the number one pick overall, but his father doesn't want him moving to America and so takes steps to block his visa. He's going to have to go back to Russia and stay there forever and that, thinks Shane Hollander, is wrong.
It's so wrong that Shane can't stop himself from doing something about it. Even though that something is the most reckless, the only reckless thing he's ever done in his life. He marries Rozanov in secret, to keep him out of Russia and put him on a path to Canadian citizenship.
Shane's got a five-year plan to get him there and when you have a plan nothing can go wrong. Right? Right. When you have a solid plan and a marriage that's on paper only there's no risk of feelings getting involved. Not on Rozanov's part and certainly not on Shane's.
Right???

“Durante años tuvimos que ocultarlo todo”, me cuenta Rozanov. “Usábamos nombres falsos en nuestros teléfonos, borrábamos todas las fotos que nos enviábamos y todos los mensajes que dejaban claro que éramos hombres. No teníamos ninguna foto nuestra juntos, salvo unas instantáneas crípticas que guardábamos solo para nosotros. Y eso es solo una muestra”. Señala el tablón de corcho con una leve sonrisa y luego se pone serio de nuevo. “Ahora existimos abiertamente y podemos tener todo esto expuesto en nuestra casa para que todo el mundo lo vea. Prueba de que estamos juntos en el mundo”.
Illya y shane se casan antes de siquiera empezar a jugar peofesionalmente; el matrimonio dura 5 años para que illya consiga la ciudadania, y el resto de sus vidas solo porque se aman (aunque son un poco lentos para darse cuenta de eso antes de llorar por los papeles del divorsion)

'¿Cómo...?' Se quedó sin palabras.
«Unos magos buscaban refugio para pasar la noche. Mi padre no se lo concedió. Lo mataron. Me escondió en la carbonera... por eso sobreviví». Pronunció estas palabras con calma y sin odio. Solo sus ojos, antes brillantes, habían adquirido un tono triste.
No podía creerlo y tuvo que indagar más. "¿Seguro que quieres que los culpables mueran?"
Encogió los hombros. «¿Qué diferencia haría? No me devolvería a mi padre. Y si la violencia siempre se combate con violencia, ¿acaso no estamos atrapados en un ciclo que nunca termina?»
La miró, conmovido y avergonzado por sus palabras. Quería vengarse, por eso había venido.
—¿Qué harías si un mago estuviera ahora mismo a tu lado? —preguntó en voz baja.
Ella le devolvió la mirada con firmeza. «Intentaría comprenderlo. Solo quienes comprenden pueden mediar. Solo quienes median pueden lograr la paz». Bajó la mirada. «Anhelo la paz».
Él también. Simplemente no lo había sabido hasta ahora. Extendió la mano. —¿Te invito a bailar?
Parecía confundida. 'Te dije que no puedo...'
La hizo levitar. No lo suficiente como para que se notara. Solo lo suficiente para bailar.

Historia magnifica de harry siendo la reencarnacion de salazar, con todos sus recuerdos y su enigmatico porte sangre pura, haciendo que todos bailen entre sus deseos pero sin una pizca de maldad real, solo muchas ganas de que todo el mundo sea feliz.

Summary
The prologue picks up mid-book 6, but rather than Brad posting the video to Twitter he sends it directly to the Montreal Metros. In this universe, Shane and Ilya are not outed to the world, but Shane is still kicked off the Metros team and transfers to Ottawa.
This fic follows Shane and Ilyas first year as teammates, settling into their lives together after getting secretly married over the summer. In this timeline, Shane learns to heal from the wounds of being outed to his team, Shane and Ilya get to ease into being a full-time couple before being thrust into the spotlight, and they get to navigate coming out on their own terms.
After a decade of the world being too hard on them, I just really wanted my favorite husbands to find a soft place to land. While the road is still long and difficult, this AU is all about putting them back in control of how they want the world to see them. It also gives so many more hilarious opportunities to watch other characters react to them coming out.
