It was ridiculous. Callum had been cooking and catering for the family for almost a year, but for some unrecognisable reason, he gave Ben such a warm sense of security. Whenever Callum was around, he lit up every room brighter than the candles on the Christmas tree. Callum made Ben’s heart race at a thousand miles per hour, which was all distorted to Ben but it felt nice having that tepid fuzzy feeling exploding in his heart.
