The tent was warm on this rare, lazy day. Everyone was just too tired and it was much too warm to do anything but lay about the camp, even the noisiest insects dared only a few shrieks in the heat of the sun. Everyone was hiding from the heat in or near their tent, except Astarion at least, who was laying in Tav’s tent.

Truthfully, Astarion wasn't. Turns out two hundred years of starvation might have possibly fucked up his ability to feel truly satiated. Sure, he could tell when he'd had enough to perform well in battle and not feel pangs of hunger by midday, but ever since he had tasted of a thinking creature, all he wanted was more.
