    Summary

It was a truth universally acknowledged that an angel in possession of no memory must be in want of a wife.

No, that was the wrong book. The wrong line. Aziraphale frowned.

“What,” the gentleman before him asked, “and I mean what, are you doing here?”

    -----------------

Or, two years after things fall apart, Aziraphale shows up at Crowley's doorstep without his memories. The easy part is getting it back, the hard part is getting them back together.

    Summary

In which Crowley moves back into his flat, Aziraphale has problems at work, and the Second Coming of Christ is but a stone's throw away.

In the end, Crowley makes it to rolling green hills, leant against a stubbornly yellow Bentley.

    He remembers the first morning.

He had slithered out of the ground not long before dawn, the dirt damp even before the first rain, the grass cool and crisp against his scales. And the sun had risen, jewels spilling across the great blue sky, warm and golden from the East. Crowley – Crawly, then – had wanted to follow it, had felt a great pull Eastwards. He went, too, until he found the ripe red fruit nestled amongst the lush green leaves and knew what they were for.

It was luck, then, that the humans had left in the direction of the sunrise.

    Luck, or– ineffable.

The sun rises over the South Downs, and Crowley finally wants to stay.

    Summary

“Your name is Aziraphale,” Crowley sighed, barely managing to look at the lack of recognition in those familiar eyes. “And you’re an angel.”

Aziraphale beamed at him, grin widening so much it threatened to blind Crowley.

“Oh, and I bet you’re an angel too. That is really awfully sweet of you! I had no idea I had someone so devoted waiting for me.”

After three years in heaven, Aziraphale suddenly returns. With no memories of Crowley and their 6000 years of history. Crowley is coping just barely (Barely meaning not at all).

    Summary

Post-season-two. Crowley's moping, Aziraphale wants to fix things, and turns out, there's enough blame to go around.

    -----
    “You’re being ridiculous.”

    Crowley very nearly falls over.

Like, actually. He very nearly loses balance for no reason at all and tumbles to the sidewalk next to his car. He’s been playing Aziraphale’s voice in his head for weeks, he’s been trying very hard to drown out the sound of it, in fact, and now suddenly, abruptly—

“What are you doing here,” is all he can think to say. He whirls around, and there he is. On Crowley’s right, standing there like he’d never left. Where he belongs, Crowley’s mind helpfully supplies. He wishes he could punch himself in the brain, knock the thoughts right on out of there.
