Moiraine Damodred is one of the most fascinating characters I’ve seen on TV (excellently performed by Rosamund Pike) and I can’t wait to write fanfiction about her quest and her relationship with Siuan Sanche. However, I have to read more books of Robert Jordan’s epic book series first to avoid any mistakes. Meanwhile, I’m entertaining myself with fanvids 😊. This one is my approach to Moraine’s journey (Season 1 & 2).

Not so long ago, lesbian characters were almost invisible in movies and on television, but things have changed a lot and the times of lesbian subtext are (almost) over. I thought that's worth a music video and chose the hymn of gay people in the 1920ies in Berlin. It was written by Spoliansky/Schwabach (1921), and Jeremy Lawrence wrote an English version of the song in the 1990ies. Both songs are performed by Ute Lemper.

Und als wäre das nicht schon genug, ist da noch die unerklärlich intensive Anziehung, die Hermine plötzlich gegenüber der Schulleiterin Professor McGonagall empfindet. Fragen über Fragen, aber sie wäre nicht Hermine Granger, wenn sie nicht unbeirrt Antworten suchen (und finden) würde. (Dies ist eine Fortsetzung der Geschichte "Mehr als ein Gefühl".)

I admit that the song "Straight to Number One" is an usual choice for the movie, but it makes the underlying yearning and subtle passion between the two main characters even more obvious. So a while ago I asked a friend, Novemberstern, to create a 'Carol' music video with this song and she did a wonderful job, as always. (She posted the clip here on AO3, you should watch it.) She is so much more talented than I am. Nonetheless, I had my own images in my head and had to create my own, humble version of it :). This video is, naturally, dedicated to Novemberstern.
