Libby pushed it the rest of the way.
The sight inside made her chest tighten painfully.
Steve was slumped on the floor with his forehead pressed against the toilet seat, breathing heavily like every inhale took effort. He was still in his pajamas, hair a mess, skin pale as hell. A pillow lay discarded beside him, and a blanket was draped loosely over his shoulders.
It looked like he’d been living on the bathroom floor.
