  Summary

  The frustrating part was, Lockwood could sort of see where his future self got it from. Lockwood spent a lot of time talking about Kipps, worming him into conversations, seizing opportunities to joke at his expense. He sought Kipps out, finding his face instantly in a crowd if only to avoid it, focusing on him in group settings. Lockwood wasn’t afraid to get in Kipps’ face and growl, or to tackle him to the ground, or the bump against him with the thinnest excuses. It was a lot of effort to spend on someone, but if that someone was as infuriating and as deserving as Kipps, then it just made sense, didn’t it? Because Lockwood didn’t like Kipps.
