Nearly a year after Glamour Springs, Taako is still distant and wandering, looking for any kind of purpose, something to do with the rest of his life that doesn't feel meaningless in the wake of everything he failed.
The Philosopher's Stone, since the relic war ended, has found itself bored. Few chanced upon it anymore, and those that did destroyed themselves so quickly. It needed more of a challenge, someone whose mind wouldn't be so easy to twist. At least, not for now.

Summary
Lucretia had always been a chronicler. From the days of her childhood, writing details in her diary with the accuracy of an eidetic memory, to her career as writer, and later, with the IPRE, she'd excelled at memorising the events around her, and recording them in a way that was both accurate and compelling.
It's the ability that allowed her to make this choice. The ability that meant the events after will never be erased from her mind. She wished she was less good at remembering, sometimes.

Taako and Lup have devised a plan to get back at their shitty family for the way they had treated them as children, as well as put an end to the incoming letters now that the twins have gained a little bit of notoriety. They're going to go back home for Candlenights, and it's going to be the worst Candlenights anyone there has ever had.
Lup's bringing Barry, because nothing's better than showing up with a respectable looking dude only for said dude to start pulling out the formaldehyde pig brains. Taako needs something like that too.
So, why not ask the cute guy in his drama class who does bad accents when he gets nervous if he's free over break?
