    Summary

“Long ago, before humanity was enslaved, Stories of mythical creatures were passed along through the imagination of man and the tongue of the teller. Among these creatures were Sirens— the beautiful evil of the sea, who enchanted those who dared to listen with a song and a pretty face. It was said that once the sirens song had been heard, one was compelled forward into the water, unable to resist the intrigue of the voice of an angel and the face of a beautiful lie.

As humanity fell under the hand of the segyein, we had all forgotten these stories, the same way we had forgotten god. With imagination crushed beneath an extraterrestrial foot, and the tongue held behind a cage, there was no reason to tell them anymore.

Alas, those who dare to look an ounce too hard may find that these stories continue to live— but not through the tongue. They live on through the soul of those who walk on this new ground.
And when one finds himself crowned the title of the soul of the siren, he must learn what it means to truly love one another, when the one who listened to his song too closely became the one he wanted to stay with forever.”
