Just as his eyes threaten to flutter shut and he starts to feel the biting chill of extensive blood loss setting in, footsteps sound in the distance. To his dismay, it’s not Kurogiri. Instead of a misty figure like he’d been expecting, Shigaraki is greeted by the sight of narrowed turquoise eyes and the nauseating stench of burnt flesh. He wants to vomit.
“That’s no good, boss,” says Dabi, “You’re bleeding out.”
(In which Dabi saves Shigaraki’s life out of the kindness of his heart and certainly not because of ulterior motives).

Dabi stands in one fluid motion. He’s the same height as Shigaraki, but he grabs the other man’s jaw, fingers digging in, not hard enough to hurt, but firm enough to say stop pretending like you’re in control.
“You want to be roughed up?” Dabi breathes, close enough that their foreheads are touching. “Or are you just so dead inside you want to feel something? Anything?”
Shigaraki licks his dry lips and rasps. “Both.”
That’s all it takes.
Dabi kisses him just to shut him up.
