"Her words die in her mouth the second she actually sees the stranger’s face. She is, quite possibly, the most beautiful girl Luz has ever seen. Her lavender hair frames her face perfectly, and Luz is positive that if this girl looked at her with those golden eyes she would absolutely give her anything she wanted. This girl could rob her blind, and Luz would probably thank her.
She also somehow looks extremely put together in a tank top and sweatpants. It’s kind of insulting."

“Okay, now hit me.”
She looked like she was expecting questions, and Amity had a million of them, for sure- but she had a test in an hour and she wanted to spend the time before that to sleep in the classroom.
She raised the pillow and hit Luz right in the face. Unfortunately, she forgot about her arm strength (she played volleyball in nationals) and only remembered when the pillow burst and feathers flew around them. It startled the both of them, making Luz drop one of the pillows on the ground.
Or
Amity is sleep deprived and runs on coffee and Luz is doing her best to cheer people up so early in the morning.
