“OW!” Tokoyami glares at his mentor, rubbing his arm. Hawks is pouting at him. Tokoyami narrowly resists the urge to shove him. “What the hell? If you can understand me, why won’t you let go?”
“No,” Hawks says childishly for the first time since he fell under the quirk’s influence. He retains his raptor grip on Tokoyami, who starts struggling to wrestle out of his hold. How the hell is Hawks this strong?! “Safe here. Tokoyami stays here."
“Oh, bleugh,” Dark Shadow grumbles, ignoring Tokoyami’s struggles in front of him. “She got the coddling part of him. This is gonna be a long day.”While on break, Hawks and Tokoyami get a distress call from a patrol dealing with a villain with a mental quirk. They rush to engage, but Hawks’ instincts get the best of him as he falls under the quirk’s influence. All of a sudden, Hawks needs to make sure Tokoyami is safe in the nest!

“Wrong,” Shouta responded simply, continuing before the aghast man in front of him could spew out any more bullshit. “Look at ‘your’ kid right now,” Aizawa said, pointedly looking back towards where Izuku was trembling, surrounded by half the class and counting, all their faces displaying worry for Izuku, contempt for Hisashi, or some mixture of the two. “Look at that kid right now,” Aizawa spat at Hisashi, “And tell me he’s still yours.”

Throw in the fact that there are multiple alphas in one pack - with only one omega - and you get a whole new type of mess. Shouta’s plan had been ill-defined and desperate from the start, but he figures the important shit boiled down to, “Change as little as possible, make sure Midoriya doesn’t get himself killed, and stock up on lychee jelly pouches because that flavor got discontinued three years from now.” Keeping it simple’s always better, and he’s normally good at improvising.
Somewhere along the way, he must’ve fucked up since now he has:
A quirkless problem child hanging off of his every word
His best friend going through a sexuality crisis thanks to said problem child’s mom
His other best friend clinging to him like a security blanket
Some two-bit mob boss threatening him with bouquets of daffodils
To wring the number one hero’s fucking neck for not telling him anything useful before sending him decades into the past
All he did was walk Izuku Midoriya home. It wasn’t meant to turn into whatever mess this is.
