Summary
The distraction that falls over Natus isn't like him, especially when he and Themis are pressed so close and with so little between them. But the clouds of steam and the shower of water spilling down their skin can't hide the melancholic unease that furrows his brow, or the way his hands caress along Themis's skin as if assuring himself he's alright.
But there is no better way to keep Natus firmly grounded in the present (or rather the past) than the feeling of Themis's lips wrapped around him, trading pensive worry for passion as the two lose themselves in each other.

Summary
Calixte would have collapsed if not for the firm grip on his hips. The sting of a sudden bite sent little sparks through his veins, making him yelp. Thancred hushed him softly.
“You’d be surprised how easily sound travels through these old stone walls,” he whispered with a smirk in his tone.

Summary
“So?” Calixte spat, clawing at the iron grip. “Are you going to kill me or not?”
“Kill you?” A lazy smile crossed Zenos’s face like a dream. His hand tightened as his voice dropped to a whisper. “In this state? No. Not yet. What a waste that would be.”
Calixte winced as Zenos dug his thumb into the cut from earlier, smearing the blood up along his jaw. A cold shiver ran down his spine as he gleaned the twisted hunger in those predatory eyes. Panic flooded his senses anew like being plunged in an icy stream.

Summary
"While this world lacks not its own travails— in sooth, one may sayeth it suffers a worser fate than our own— our being brought here feels akin to something of a second chance.”
“I can see that,” Thancred said quietly. He had been trying not to think too hard on it since he arrived in this world. Certainly not tonight, or whatever constituted night. Physical exhaustion alone weighed enough on his mind. “Is that why you’ve taken up astrology?”
“To a degree, aye.”
“It suits you.”
“Ah, the star globe?”
Curiously, Thancred watched how Urianger fidgeted with a ring around one finger. An idea wormed in his head, one too enticing to ignore.
“The robe, too,” he said slowly as he crossed his arms and gave a sly smile. “It’s a fetching look. Is that what you wished to hear?”

Summary
“It is your fault,” he hissed, the smell of alcohol wafting over him. “Is that what I’m supposed to say, Urianger?”
Urianger flinched. Hearing the words spoken so vehemently from Thancred stung more than he anticipated, tearing open hurts that he had buried long ago. His heart pounded as he laid his hands over Thancred’s.
“If I could but ease thy pain, even for mere moments, then pray, unleash thine frustrations unto me.”
