Summary
Hob knew that his life could not be traditionally classified as “normal.” He’d lived far too long and done far too much for that to be true. However, he found that day-to-day, his life was very much like any other human.
Where his life veered off course was in the small things – the little aches and pains of age that never quite touched him, the need to stay less than prominent less he end up under too much scrutiny, the threat of death that never need bother him.
Also the tea time visits from the personification of Death. He supposed that would be classified as unusual too.
