"Fulfilling an obligation to Mr. Potter, obviously," Snape replied, his voice regaining its familiar sardonic drawl as he started the powerful engine. The low rumble filled the cabin. "It seems some people never outgrow their propensity for finding trouble. Always needing rescue."
Hermione bristled, indignation momentarily overriding her shock and lingering fear. "Excuse me? I handle myself perfectly fine! My car broke down, and that... that man... I'm not a child!" She crossed her arms defiantly over her chest.
A faint smirk touched Snape's lips. "Whatever you say... kid," he murmured, unable to resist the jab as he pulled the car smoothly back onto the road, effortlessly accelerating away from the scene._________________
Defiant and sometimes bratty Hermione. Over protective and sexy dark Snape. Lots of arguing and sexual tension between these two. Enjoy!
