Summary
“Well, that little gay pixie out there just had her hand in your back pocket,” The landlord says, hands on her hips. “You sure you two aren’t a couple?”
“No, we’re just best friends. Roommates now, too.”
The landlord sighs and flips over the white paper in her hand. “Well, as you would have read, you can’t get the discount on rent, then. It’s for married couples only.”
“The discount?” Shauna murmurs, the zeros on her student debt screaming at her in her head. “How much?”
“Half the advertised rent price.”
Oh. Shauna thinks, then gulps.
Oh.
“I was only joking,” She blurts out, symptomatic of disconnect between mouth and brain. “We are. A married couple—yeah. Me and Jackie are married.”
Or, an AU where Shauna suddenly realizes there are a few benefits to people mistaking her and her roommate/long-term best friend Jackie for a married couple, which Jackie would totally understand her indulging in, right? If only she told Jackie what she was telling people about them, that is.
Or, nine times people mistake Jackie and Shauna for a married couple, and the one time they realize they actually are one.

Summary
'It had never taken anyone this long to write a phone number. Both because Robin was really trying to make sure her handwriting was legible, and because she was having trouble remembering what her phone number even was at 7:47 in the morning while she held Nancy Wheeler’s hand. Not for any weird reason, they had just never touched hands when their lives weren’t in danger. It was different, that was all.
“I think that’s right.” She mumbled as she dropped Nancy’s hand and offered the pen back.
“You think?” Nancy smiled at her, teasing, pulling a smile through the cloud of fatigue that had been keeping Robin’s face in an unconscious grimace all morning.
“It’s so early…” She said by way of explanation. Nancy chuckled.'

Summary
“I’m sorry, Jackie. I’m sorry, I—“
“I’m your Coach, sweetheart.”
Jackie doesn’t even think about the words; they come out stern, as firm as the open palm she plants between Shauna’s shoulder blades to stop her squirming, and Jackie hates herself for them immediately.
Not enough to stop, though.
OR:
Shauna makes trouble during practice. Jackie puts her in her place, and makes an unexpected discovery along the way.
Note: Not to be confused with Put Me In, Coach! Author just thinks she’s very funny.
