LOGIC: You are an elf. You woke up a prisoner with no memories and a weird mark on your hand that is probably killing you. You don't have many options but to cooperate and hope you don't get murdered before you can figure out what is happening.
EMPATHY: It would also be nice to know who you are, but dealing with the thing that's killing you is a good step one for now.
WEIRD MARK: Nooooo, what? I'm not killing you buddy. Hey why don't you just go back to sleeeeeep and don't worry about the hole in the sky or the demons spitting out everywhere!
WHISPERS: The mark is lying, obviously. It's not even good at it.
