   Summary

"Oh, my love... Are you sure? Will you betray your humanity for me?"

"My Sovereign, sweet Sovereign. I will sacrifice entire cities, even my entire soul - just so I can earn the gift of your full authority."

Neuvillette was reincarnated during Egeria's reign. Misinterpreting the prophecy, Egeria falsely presumes Neuvillette to be responsible, thus imprisoning him in the depths of Meropide.
After hundreds of years, a blind man by the name of Wriothesley meets the ancient dragon - and falls in love with him.
Their shared hatred for the flawed justice permeating Fontaine drives them to seek revenge-

Revenge on the entirety of Fontaine itself.

Even if the prophecy was never meant to be about Neuvillette... the Hydro Sovereign now seeks to fulfill it himself.
