   Summary

The boys were reported missing at around one in the morning on November 18, about five hours after they were last seen. Over the next few days, missing posters crept into nearby towns, and anyone who had possibly seen the faces or heard the voices of Clover Willoughby or Beau Descartes was implored to call their local police department or contact the boys' families directly.

Mr and Mrs Willoughby would only leave home for church for days after, and they would recite the same prayer: May God and all the angels in Heaven have mercy on the poor children.
