Were it any other daily visit, he would have been able to let it slide into the abyss, lock it away until he was alone and could safely lose himself in the tangle of thoughts. Kirith didn’t like sand. Least of all when it was cold, wet, and in her mouth. However, there were sweet, lulling pipes sounding from deep within the forest just across from her. Her unexplained arrival on an island in the dead of night could come after she found the source.
Peter Pan didn’t like receiving surprises. One could never call Neverland complacent or predictable, spontaneity is what kept it fun, but he was the one who orchestrated it. Neverland played by his rules. So in his centuries-old routine search of The Heart of The Truest Believer, why would the shadow take a girl?
Inspired by but not based off of Arsenica’s Belief Extraordinary series. This will essentially be small snapshots/scenes from the life and story of Kirith, the first girl to arrive on Neverland.

The Adventures of Mercedes Morvinius by DelightfullyDroll. 11 chapters so far, 55k words.
Author summary: The Doctor and Mercedes Morvinius (the OC around which my original sci-fi universe revolves) collide. Quite literally. What will a Doctor fresh from the horrors of the Time War do with a little girl too clever for her own good? And what happens when that girl, like all little girls must, grows up?
An exercise in original character development with the added bonus of playing around with the Doctor's voice, which lives rent free in my brain and occasionally wants to take a stroll.
My plot summary for posterity: The Doctor meets a genius little girl and promises to come back and take her on adventures when she's older. When they meet after he saves her from a kidnapping during an archeology dig, the pair travel together. Mercedes goes back home to ties up a few jobs but gets kidnapped for immortality experimentation. After 10 years of his own time and a regeneration thinking she left him, the Doctor finally finds her and rescues her. They burn the corporation responsible down before she asks to go home to her father. After a week of suffering the otherness of surviving horrors, Mercedes is ready to travel and feel like someone again.
Honestly just a brilliant time. Peak characterization and tension. Note to self: torture arc is rough and can be skimmed for the reunion and emotional guilt but be sure to read the aftercare
