Summary
Life after the territory war between Neo Metal and Sage has not been easy for anyone, especially for Kit. There are still those within society who fear him and his reputation. Even after making amends and aiding Sonic during the the war, Kit still finds himself an outsider in life. His reputation and behavior becomes a liability to the base, forcing HR to pair him up with a new recruit in order to keep his lab at the new Navy base. After getting his lab threatened, he agrees, only to find a familiar annoyance waiting from him at home.
It's been hard adjusting to life after the war and losing her home, but Marine is determined to keep trying to make Sonic's dimension her new home. After leaving her mentorship role at G.U.N's new academy due to a falling out with some other members, Marine is offered a new job and a fresh start with an old roommate. While adjusting to her new life in Seaside city, Marine finds a strange distress signal reaches her signal device aboard her ship. Despite their rocky history, the roommates/coworkers decide to pack and leave in search of the signal's source with limited time.
When they finally head out, a storm sweeps in and leaves the two shipwrecked and stranded on an island.

The problem didn't even start at home where it probably should've. Ray hadn't seen Stebbins get ready, he was already fully dressed by the time Ray started pulling his shirt on. Ray always finds his boyfriend attractive(anybody would, especially when he's in that fucking suit), but Ray hadn't even known the true extent of the danger he was in until they had already arrived at the event.
Ray had walked into the bathroom just as Stebbins had pulled his pants up by the urinal. It had just been barely enough time for Ray to catch a thin black band of leather wrapped around each muscular thigh, with shorter straps with silver clips grabbing onto the bottom of Stebbins' dress shirt. But it had been enough.
