  1. Summary

This is a series of companion pieces to Longing - Loving - Leaving.
It’s a series of one-shots, not necessarily written and posted chronologically. There will be, however, a note in the summary of each story as to where these fics fit into the original story of LLL.

The series may contain missing scenes, parallel POVs of already existing scenes, maybe even cut scenes eventually and the like. These series are not necessary to understand the plot in LLL. They can also be read on their own.

There might also be sub-series in the future to collect certain things in one place.

  2. Summary

Antonia Moreno-Sharpe misses her English father. She's never seen him since he had left her at her Spanish uncle's family after her mother's tragic death. On the tenth anniversary of said event, she meets an English-French family who promise to help her with her quest as the parents had been there as well.

  3. Summary

Gems found during my research, mostly about the KGL, that made me wonder how this scenario would work within the Sharpe universe and with the Sharpe characters. Based on historical events big or small, this is the closest to history that I can get.

There are more historical events I've already hinted at in some of my stories that I'd like to write about in closer details throughout the series.

This series is therefore ironically named "The Truth and Nothing but the Truth", even though there's a lot of wild imagination going on in the various stories.

  4. Summary

A pre-canon, three-part series of how the man we know as Captain Lossow from the books Sharpe’s Gold and Sharpe’s Sword came into the English army as someone from the Electorate of Hannover and made a career in the cavalry.
What we know about him from the books: loyal to his friends, a competent officer who values competence and doesn’t judge “a book by its cover” (befriends Sharpe despite him being anything but your typical gentleman officer), homesick for Hannover, wants to return after the war. Loves his fierce and feisty stud, Thor. Never uses spurs. A happy man, easy-going, resting in himself. Interested in new war technologies (remember the telegraph station?). Tends to hero-worship Sharpe. Must have a considerable amount of money to be able to finance himself and his horse.
What we don’t know: does he come from a military family? How rich is he in fact? Where does his love for horses hail from?
This series is to explore these questions, taking into account what we do know about him, though under the premise that he doesn't come from a military family but rather low country nobility. Once I've discovered the Lossow Wiki page, I couldn't resist making him part of a side-line.

  5. Summary

Subseries of Lost in Lossow’s World.

This subseries contains the letters the major characters send out at various points – apart from the ones early on in the story.
I decided to go for a full set of letters instead of only writing excerpts of a few and post them separately so that nobody would be bothered by them if they don’t want to read them.
Like the first two letters, I decided to write them in German because of the level of tonalities that I cannot get quite straight in English.
Unfortunately, ao3 only allows one language in the settings, so I opted for German as that is the language I wrote them in. However, each individual story will be in two chapters: The first has the letters in German with little description in English between the letters to make sure who’s writing at what point in the story and who’s receiving the letters.
The second chapter is my best attempt to translate the letters with the help of an online translation tool and some adjustments on my part to match the various registers of formality as well as possible.
In the table of content you’ll find the corresponding chapters of LLL to each set of letters.
