The Knave sat on the side of the bed, looking down at the Archon and careful not to avert her gaze from the faintly emanating blue glow. As she observed, a sense of empathy ran through her heart; she knew all too well what the Archon had endured. Centuries that would have shattered mere mortals and a performance of grief deep enough to deceive even the heavenly principles; it all made this moment feel ironic.

After a few minutes, Ezreal sat up, brushing his bangs away from his face with another long, distressed sigh.
“I’m… I think I might be pregnant.”
Aphelios choked on his own saliva, and his eyes immediately drifted towards Ezreal’s hands, spotting the positive pregnancy test he held close to his lap, almost as if trying to hide it from view.
“Might?” He gestured, skepticism slipping its way through the one-worded question.
“...There are false positives.” Ezreal affirmed in a trembling sob, as if that damned little smiling baby shown in the test’s screen mocked him directly.
'Boohoo! You’re pregnant in your early twenties, and Kayn’s the father!' It said, taunting him before erupting in giggles.-
