Summary
The war is over, but Karin Uzumaki has no home to return to. Abandoned by Sasuke, the rest of Team Taka returns to Orochimaru. As the last remnants of a once-great criminal network, they are essential aids in his research, despite having been test subjects themselves. Struggling with past trauma, Karin is forced to face her demons and her trauma from her time as Kabuto's assistant. Likewise, Suigetsu must adapt to life outside the stasis pod, on the other side of the glass. If they're going to survive, they need to lean on one another. They might be able to, if they could trust one another not to drive a knife through their back.

*REVAMPED*
A pandemic is sweeping Konoha and Sakura is tapped dry. Her only choice is to work with Kabuto to find a cure. He may be insufferable, but Sakura is no stranger to suffering. In fact, she might be more masochistic than she thought.
*This story was re-written to reflect a more consistent romance between Sakura and Kabuto. I took all your reviews to heart and have tried to make something that you will all enjoy. Much of it remains the same as what I posted a few years ago, it is mostly in the later half of the story that I made big changes.
