She had a plan to end his bloody reign- getting captured by the King's men was not part of the plan. Neither was being King Jaime's personal prisoner.

I read a quote where George said his original plan for Jaime was to make him an evil King... and a plot bunny was born. This story is darker than anything I have written before, but it will be romantic at the end because at the core of myself- I'm a happy endings kind of girl.

If Jaime had been a fool from before, he would have caught Tyrion by his throat and coax him to take his words back.
“Which hand?” he asks instead, as nonchalantly as he could.
Tyrion takes a beat to study him and lets it go, convinced he won’t find his answers just by asking.
“You do have to wed sometime soon. Your golden looks are already fading brother.” He says.
“But yours are not. Mayhaps you will marry and sire the heirs needed.”
“You keep on forgetting I am wed.”
As am I.
Jaime wants to say, but doesn’t.

Jaime pleads with her and Tywin to spare Brienne's life, both of them blackmail him on the condition that he will marry her and leave the Kingsguard. Jaime agrees. Brienne is forced to agree.
Excerpt: Cersei walks up to her and says “Welcome to the family, Lady Brienne” . She can see the wondrous, beautiful smile lighting up her face, the naked flash of sadistic pleasure illuminating her green eyes, the sheen in her dewy, flawless skin and all she can remember is Pod’s bloody face, bruises blackening under his eyes.
Brienne has to reel herself in from running a sword through her.Only she doesn’t have a sword anymore. Tywin Lannister made sure of that.
She turns her back to Cersei, and walks away, vision cloudy.She has to take a moment as she leaves the room, make herself remember to breathe, when she hears Jaime’s desolated voice in a long, long time.
“Why, Cersei?” he asks.
“Charity” she says and Brienne walks away, unable to bear it any longer.
