After a couple of agonizing seconds, a trembling hand was extended in her direction. As if by instinct, Miorine reached for it, wanting to give the stranger a push and finally end this greeting that had taken longer than she had initially intended.
Her hand could only grasp the cold air of the night; despite the fact their closeness should have allowed them to feel each other’s warmth.
Miorine huffed. “Your name. What is it?” It wasn’t a friendly tone, but it’s enough to formalize this… friendship?
The shy young woman, as if battling her own nerves, started fidgeting with her fingers. Her reddish hair fell across her face whenever she tilted her head, until she finally found the courage to answer.
“S-Suleta Samaya. I am the ghost that lives in this house.”
