Summary
(Discontinued/ On hiatus with no guarantee of another chapter)
John had always denied that the number on his arm was showing her because her soulmark couldn't show his, right?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Everyone is born with a number on their body – at the time 1.0. It varied where it was on one’s body, but there were always a few consistent features for each person: it had their soulmate’s ability level, eye colour and it would glow anytime they activated their ability, like their eyes would.
At that very moment, Seraphina had pulled back the sleeve on her left forearm as she stared out in horror at the scene unfolding before her.
The 7.5 showed on her forearm near her wrist with a burnt orange-gold glow.

Summary
After the torture he was subjected to in the Readjustment Classes, John wasn’t sure how he could bear to live with himself anymore, not after everything he did as the Tyrant of New Bostin.
He wasn’t a good person. He was nothing but the hollow husk of a monster, something that should be left to fade away into the darkness—alone, forgotten.
But within that pit he was content with laying in, to let any shred of hope he could have wilt and die, a light pierced through the depths.
Unordinary, a book his dad wrote for him, and John finds it in himself to believe…maybe he can be a good person after all.
Or: William’s message truly gets through to John, he learns to help others with his power, and changes ripple throughout John’s life and the hierarchy that almost destroyed him because of it.

Summary
As any early-twenties woman might tell you, there are different strategies for carrying yourself in the world depending on what you want out of a given interaction.
You want to ace your school presentation? Stand with good posture, enunciate your words, and speak knowledgeably.
You want to receive a job offer? Dress the part and hold yourself high during the interview.
You want to avoid creeps at the corner store by your urban college? Wear plain clothes, walk with purpose, and stay alert.But what strategy do you implement when you want to pull a confession out of a man? More specifically, your best friend who you've been hopelessly crushing on since your junior year of high school?
Sera sent a final text, slipped her phone in her pocket, and began the walk from her studio apartment to the train station.
Tonight, Sera was going to pull out all the stops.
~~~~~
In other words, this is a dual POV post-canon attempted seduction and confession fic. Characters are aged 21+ and this contains explicit sexual content. Enjoy ;)
